East Coast Cowboy

"East Coast Cowboy" highlights the intersection of my love for my home back in the Carolinas and my excitement about my new home in Texas. It celebrates the coastal sunsets that warmed my evenings by the ocean with my family and the excitement of rodeos and two-stepping that fill my days here in Texas. I wanted to highlight elements of both places that I love in a very simple composition with an emphasis on warm colors and straight-forward subject matter. The cowboy sits on a red life-guard chair as if he has journeyed from the rodeos of Texas to the east coast beaches and is watching the sun set over the ocean in the distance.
